Neighborhood Buying Clubs

Buying clubs are groups of people in a close geographic proximity that are coordinated and organized by volunteer Pride and Joy customers who are compensated with free product for their efforts ( Buying Clubs Q&A for more detail).  Buying clubs are open to all.  If you don’t see one in the table below that is your area, contact us and we’ll help you start one!

Buying club example … how does it work?

As an example, a Pride and Joy customer in Wenatchee would serve as the contact person for folks from the Wenatchee area interested in raw milk.  Let’s say there are ten families in the Wenatchee buying club.  The buying club coordinator would organize a rotation for each family to take a turn traveling to the farm to pick up their milk.  In the case of this example, there are ten families involved and they would all like milk on a weekly basis.  Each family would then only have to travel to the farm once every ten weeks, but would be able to get fresh milk weekly.  Or, if each family was only interested in getting milk once every-other-week, then each family would only be responsible for picking up milk once every twenty weeks!

Buying club benefits

There are many benefits to being part of a buying club structured like this:

  • Buying clubs can determine the frequency they want to get their milk.  Pride and Joy Dairy may not be able to deliver to your area regularly or frequently enough due to logistics and many costs involved.
  • Buying club members save on the additional cost of a delivery fee that would be added if we did make the delivery to you.
  • It’s a convenient, more affordable and personal way to buy your milk - directly from the farmer who raised it.
  • The more people that join your the buying club, the less each member has to travel to pick up milk.
  • Because members are coming to the farm to pick up the milk, there are no club minimum purchase requirements, there is no minimum order requirement for individual club members, and there are no fees associated with joining the club – as is the case with most buying clubs.
  • Buying club members get the advantage of meeting other likeminded raw milk enthusiasts in their community.  It’s always fun to meet folks with similar interests!
  • Buying club members have the opportunity to see exactly where their milk comes from.  It’s a passion of ours to build relationships with our end consumers, for you to see firsthand the benefits of sustainable farming practices, and to hopefully pass on our passion to you to then spread the word for bettering our future generation’s food supply.  After all, that is the main reason we do what we do!
